Healthy Tips for the Holiday Season! *This will help control blood sugar and curb your appetite. *Good choices include a piece of fruit or a half sandwich. *Choose high fiber foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains that will help keep you feeling full longer. *Only sample foods that are heavy or high in calories. Try skipping the sauces and gravies altogether. *Instead, share your dessert with a friend or family member.
  • Diet soda is also a good alternative. Alcohol, eggnog, and hot chocolate contain a lot of hidden calories. *Use holiday shopping as your excuse – walk around the mall an extra time or two before you leave. Or, take a brisk walk before each holiday event.
Remember to exercise!

Most Importantly….. *Take time to relax. Avoiding stress will help you to make healthier eating choices.

Enjoy yourself!
